focusd

Add focusd to Chrome

Coming to the Chrome Web Store soon.

Until then you can install it yourself in about a minute. It is the same extension.

    Download

    Get focusd-extension.zip and unzip it. You get a folder called focusd-extension.

    Open extensions

    In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions (type it in the address bar).

    Developer mode

    Turn on Developer mode, top right.

    Load unpacked

    Click Load unpacked and pick the focusd-extension folder.

    Pin it

    Click the puzzle piece in the toolbar and pin focusd so it is one click away.

Download the extension

Then

Click focusd in your toolbar, say what you are working on, and start a 25, 50 or 90 minute session. Want a plan for the whole day? Build one here and press Send to extension.

Chrome may show a note about developer mode extensions when it starts. That is normal for extensions installed this way.

Works in Chrome and other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc) on a laptop or desktop. Phones do not run extensions.

Privacy: everything stays on your device.
